As our Senior Cost Controller (Finance) you will lead, direct, and guide a team of Cost Control Finance staff working within the Dreadnought Alliance Finance team.

What you will be doing:

You will be overseeing the monthly financial forecasting process for the Dreadnought Alliance, including financial risk, and accurate and insightful commentary, challenge and variance analysis.

  • Leading on the Financial input and information at the PM/CAM monthly FOO reviews to empower stakeholder decision making. Provide prompt evaluation of proposals, returning feedback to the PM and monitoring project cost spend against approval.
  • Overseeing the Financial input to the Annual Budget Cycle process in conjunction with PM/PCM and with the production of the PCR forecast
  • Leading your team in actively supporting audit and internal compliance. Ensure efficiencies captured are promptly and adequately supported by auditable evidence and actively leading the team in resolving audit challenges.
  • Overseeing the Cost Control Finance team in working with Estimators to develop cost models and assist in the production of Investment Appraisals. Monitor project expenditure against approval and liaise with F&A colleagues to ensure that VAT and FOREX costs receive the correct financial treatment.
  • Guide the production of EVM analysis to demonstrate project performance and analyse variances to plan, determine impact on the schedule and cost to complete the scope of work. Ensure consistency with IYM and EVM reporting.
