| Have you operated in Project Controls / Project Management environment? Are you interested in being part a core team playing an integral part of the Cost Management capability in line with best practice across the programme? Since 1st April 2018, a new Alliance construct has had responsibility for the delivery of the Dreadnought submarine programme. This Alliance was formed between the Ministry of Defence’s Submarine Delivery Agency (SDA), BAE Systems (BAES) and Rolls-Royce (RR). This innovative approach meets commitments set out in the 2015 Strategic Defence and Security Review to harness effective working relationships with industrial partners to improve performance. The role will present the opportunity to work with a range of Stakeholders across the Dreadnought programme in functions such as Supply Chain, Site Redevelopment, Finance, Design and Project Controls. As well as working closely with professionals at BAES you will also develop close working relationships with the MOD/SDA (Submarine Delivery Agency) which in turn will give you a broad perspective of the Dreadnought programme, thus facilitating further career opportunities. Your main responsibilities as a Senior Planning Monitoring and Control Professional will involve: Assisting Cost Project Leader with cost outputs provided to Alliance Project managers (APM) and providing SME advice as required Supporting the cost analysis undertaken by the Alliance Cost team (including in-year cash forecast, annual budget cycle analysis) Responsibility for maintenance and development of the Alliance contract tracker and review with stakeholders Providing support and analysis into contract affordability discussions, deputising for Cost Project Leader as necessary Challenge and agree a forecast of outturn for current year and an estimate of completion for full programme (EAC) Reviewing and validating Invoices/ Cash claims and recording commitments against MOD approval Attendance at project reviews and financial in year reviews |
